A short cruise on Granny Buttons (though not by me!)

 

Luke Kennard, the New Canal Poet Laureate, has just been taken on a short cruise on Granny Buttons by Andrew Denny (editor of Waterways World). 

The link below is like a blog and starts with his musings about the laureateship, but you can skip past that to some photos of the BCN and a description of his cruise. 

It’s quite amusing and interesting too, (ignore the bit where he calls Granny Buttons a houseboat!) and I enjoyed his poem.  I’m not sure what the ‘crenellated printer’s arm’ refers to though.
